Dr Jazz and the Cheshire Cats Big Band is
available for hire to perform at selected events.
Some reasons why you should book Dr Jazz and the Cheshire
Cats:

There is nothing like live music to make your
occasion go with a swing and add a touch of class to the
proceedings!

We can perform a wide range of big band music
which will get guests of all ages up on the dance floor.

Dr Jazz and the Cheshire cats can provide a
full evening's entertainment so you may be able to avoid the
'traditional' wedding disco.

Unlike many 'function bands', we perform for
only a limited number of events. This means that we enjoy
playing and want you to enjoy the evening too!

We take the time to devise and rehearse a
specific programme for each gig we play.

The band is a co-operative, non-profit making
organisation, so we are not just out for a fast buck! All of the
money we earn goes back into supporting the band - from running
costs such as rehearsal room hire, to purchasing equipment,
music and commissioning new works.

Contact us as early as possible to ensure the
best chance of booking the band. Co-ordinating 20 diaries is not
easy! We often take bookings at least 12 months in advance.

Ensure that your chosen venue are happy for you
to use, and have enough space for a twenty-piece band (and your
audience).

Our costs are very reasonable. When budgeting,
however, you may wish to think about the following:

Consider what you might pay a solo musician
for an evening's work and multiply by 20.

Costs will reflect the distance of the venue
from the Warrington area. We accept engagements further afield,
but would normally charge the additional costs of accommodation
and travel in addition to our normal fee.

The happiness of the band is directly proportional
to the volume (within reason) of food and drink that you kindly
provide for us!
If you are interested in booking the band, please
contact us (using the form below) with the details of your event. Our
manager will contact you to discuss the details of your booking and
can arrange for you to receive a copy of our demo CD. If you decide
to go ahead and book the band, we will ask you to sign a contract and
normally require a deposit of around 20%.
