Dr Jazz and the Cheshire Cats perform a wide ranging repertoire of quality music, including core swing numbers drawn from the bands of Count Basie, Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington and many more. The band regularly features both male and female vocalists singing songs made famous by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holliday, Frank Sinatra and the ‘Rat Pack’ and more recently, Robbie Williams.

In addition to classic swing, the band also performs modern compositions including pieces and arrangements that we have commissioned. Our repertoire includes latin numbers, smooth ballads and groovy funk including numbers from the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, and the bands of Charles Mingus, Maynard Ferguson, Rob McConnell, Bob Mintzer, Jools Holland and Gordon Goodwin.
